ZodiacFM Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 17, 2026

ZodiacFM, Inc. (“ZodiacFM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the ZodiacFM website at zodiac.fm and the ZodiacFM app for iPhone and Android.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

Depending on how you use ZodiacFM, you may provide:

  • Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number, and sign-in method.
  • Birth information, including your birth date, birth time, and birth location.
  • Purchase and subscription information, such as the plan or product purchased, subscription status, transaction details, and account entitlements.
  • Communications you send us, including support requests, privacy requests, survey responses, feedback, and any attachments you choose to provide.

Please do not send us a password, complete payment-card information, or complete birth information in a support request.

Information created through ZodiacFM

We create or calculate information needed to provide the service, including:

  • Your four personalized frequencies and related frequency-band information.
  • Account, product-access, and subscription status.
  • Listening and balance information, such as tracks or frequency categories played, listening time, track completions, favorites, playlists or queues, downloads, and weekly listening totals.

Information collected automatically

When you use the website or app, we and the service providers that support ZodiacFM may collect:

  • Device and technical information, such as device type, operating system, browser or app version, IP address, language, time zone, and network information.
  • Usage information, such as pages or screens viewed, buttons or links selected, feature interactions, dates and times of activity, and referring pages.
  • Diagnostic information, such as error reports, crash information, performance data, and related technical details.
  • Website attribution information, such as referral source, campaign information, and advertising or browser identifiers when present.

Some app information, including downloaded audio and cached account information, may be stored locally on your device so ZodiacFM can work more reliably and support offline listening.

Information from sign-in and other providers

If you sign in through Apple, Google, or another supported sign-in provider, we receive the account information that provider makes available to us, such as your name, email address, provider account identifier, and authentication token. The information we receive depends on the provider and the choices available through that provider.

If you enter a birth location, a location or time-zone service may help convert the place you enter into the geographic and historical time-zone information needed for the calculation. Birth location is different from your device’s live location.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account.
  • Calculate and display your personalized frequencies and related information.
  • Provide music playback, downloads, favorites, playlists, queues, and other app and website features.
  • Measure and display your listening totals and balance.
  • Confirm product access, purchases, subscriptions, and account entitlements.
  • Process transactions and provide billing and cancellation support.
  • Respond to support, feedback, feature, privacy, and data requests.
  • Send service messages, such as sign-in codes, account notices, and important product or policy updates.
  • Send marketing communications where permitted and honor unsubscribe choices.
  • Understand how the website and app are used, improve performance, troubleshoot problems, and develop features.
  • Measure marketing, advertising, and referral activity, including by sharing limited information with advertising platforms so they can match an ad interaction to a visit or a purchase.
  • Build audiences used for advertising, which may include audiences based on the birth information associated with an account and the results calculated from it.
  • Detect misuse, protect accounts, prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Payments and subscriptions

Purchases made on the website are processed by Stripe. Purchases made in the iPhone app are processed by Apple through In-App Purchase, and purchases made in the Android app are processed by Google through Google Play Billing. ZodiacFM does not receive or store your complete payment-card number or card security code.

We receive the information needed to confirm and manage the transaction, subscription, and product access, such as transaction identifiers, subscription status, plan, amount, and payment status. For a card saved on the website, we also receive the card brand, its last four digits, and its expiry date.

Deleting a ZodiacFM account does not necessarily cancel an active subscription. Cancel an active subscription through the provider that manages it before deleting your account.

4. How we share information

We may share information in the following circumstances:

Service providers

We use service providers to operate ZodiacFM. These providers may support hosting, databases, authentication, cloud storage, audio delivery, error and performance monitoring, analytics, payment processing, email, customer support, location and time-zone resolution, and marketing operations. They may process information only for the services they provide to us and under their own applicable terms and privacy commitments.

Advertising and measurement partners

We advertise ZodiacFM on other platforms, including Meta and Google. So that we can measure whether that advertising works, and reach people likely to be interested in it, we share certain information with those platforms:

  • Advertising and click identifiers, such as the identifier attached to an ad you clicked and identifiers those platforms store in your browser.
  • Identifiers used for matching, such as your email address and, on the website, your name and date of birth. Advertising platforms use these to match an ad interaction to a visit, a sign-up, or a purchase.
  • Information about the account and the results calculated for it, which may include your birth information and the attributes derived from it. This information may be used to build audiences for future advertising.

This applies to the ZodiacFM website. Information collected when you sign up inside the ZodiacFM iPhone or Android app is not shared with advertising platforms.

Legal, safety, and security reasons

We may disclose information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request; protect the rights, safety, or property of ZodiacFM, our customers, or others; investigate fraud or misuse; or enforce our agreements.

Business changes

Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, sale of assets, reorganization, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction. We will use reasonable measures to require the recipient to handle personal information consistently with this Privacy Policy.

At your direction

We may share information when you ask us to, give us permission, or intentionally use a feature that requires the disclosure.

ZodiacFM does not sell personal information for money. Sharing information with advertising platforms, as described above, may still be treated as a “sale” or as “sharing” for targeted advertising under some state privacy laws. See “Your advertising choices” below.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The ZodiacFM website and app use cookies and similar technologies, including storage in your browser, in four categories:

  • Strictly necessary — signing you in, keeping your session, and carrying you through sign-up and checkout. The service does not work without these.
  • Functional — remembering choices, such as your time zone, so pages display correctly.
  • Analytics — understanding how the website and app are used, measuring performance, and running product experiments.
  • Marketing and attribution — recording how you first reached ZodiacFM and what you most recently clicked, so that advertising and partner referrals can be measured and credited. These carry advertising and click identifiers and last up to 180 days.

Some are set by ZodiacFM and some by the providers whose technology runs on the page:

  • Analytics: PostHog and Google Analytics, which set their own cookies to recognize a returning browser and measure use.
  • Advertising: Google Ads, which sets cookies recording that you arrived from an ad, and Meta, which receives information from our servers about advertising results.
  • Referrals: our affiliate partner network, which sets a cookie recording the partner who referred you.
  • Service providers used on particular pages: our payment provider during checkout, and a mapping service when you enter a birth location.

Pages opened inside the ZodiacFM iPhone or Android app are different: only our analytics and email providers run on them. No advertising or referral technology loads there, and nothing from the app is shared with advertising platforms.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the website work, and blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and checkout from working at all.

6. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the service, maintaining business and transaction records, resolving disputes, protecting security, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations.

Retention periods vary by the type of information, the reason it was collected, the status of the account, and legal or operational requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or deidentify it, subject to limited backup, security, financial, legal, and fraud-prevention requirements.

Our encrypted database backups are kept for seven days on a rolling basis. Information you delete is removed from the live service straight away and leaves the backups when those expire.

How long each kind of information is kept:

  • Your account and profile — your name, email address and phone number — for as long as your account exists.
  • Your birth information, frequencies and chart, and your favorites and playlists, for as long as your account exists.
  • Your listening totals, weekly and all-time, for as long as your account exists. The underlying record of individual plays is kept for 13 months.
  • Purchase records are removed with your account. The provider that processed the payment — Stripe, Apple, or Google — keeps its own record under its terms and the tax law that applies to it.
  • Support messages for three years after the last message in the conversation.
  • Product analytics for up to one year, which is the period our analytics provider keeps events for, and the copy held in our data warehouse for 25 months.
  • Marketing records for as long as you are subscribed and two years after you last engage. If you unsubscribe, we keep the fact that you did indefinitely — that record is what stops us emailing you again.
  • Attribution cookies for 180 days (first touch) and 90 days (most recent touch), as described above.
  • Error and performance diagnostics for 90 days, and server request logs for up to 30 days.

Deleting your account removes everything above that is held for the life of the account, straight away. As described below, it then leaves our backups when those expire, within seven days.

7. Account deletion and data requests

You can permanently delete your ZodiacFM account from within the app. You may also email [email protected] for help with deletion or another privacy request.

When we complete account deletion, we delete or deidentify the ZodiacFM account information we are not required to retain. Information kept for legal, financial, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, or backup purposes is limited to that purpose and kept only as long as required.

Deleting your account:

  • Cancels an active subscription billed through our website before any information is removed, and stops if that cancellation does not succeed, so you are not left being charged.
  • Removes your account, birth information, calculated frequencies and chart, listening activity, favorites, playlists, saved payment details, and the files stored on your device.
  • Deletes your profile from the service we use to send email, and stops further information about you reaching the services that support ZodiacFM.

Two things outlast the deletion itself. Records already collected by our analytics providers are kept until they age out under the retention rules above. And deleted information remains in our encrypted database backups for up to seven days, after which those backups expire and it is gone.

Deleting an account does not necessarily cancel a subscription managed by a payment provider. Review and cancel any active subscription through that provider before deleting the account.

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision about a privacy request.

To make a request, email [email protected] from the address connected to your account when possible and tell us the type of request. We may need to verify your identity before completing it. Do not send us a password, complete payment-card information, or complete birth information.

8. Your choices

  • Account information: Use the available account settings or contact [email protected] to request a correction.
  • Marketing email: Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact us. You may still receive service and account messages.
  • Cookies: Use browser settings and any privacy controls we provide.
  • Device storage: Manage downloaded tracks in ZodiacFM. You may also remove locally stored app data by deleting downloads, signing out where applicable, or deleting the app from your device.
  • Account deletion: Use the deletion option inside ZodiacFM or contact [email protected] for help.

Your advertising choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising. To opt out, email [email protected] from the address connected to your account and tell us you want to stop the sharing of your information for advertising.

You can also limit advertising cookies through your browser settings, and through the ad-preference controls offered by the advertising platforms themselves.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you believe your account or information may be at risk, contact [email protected].

10. Children and parent-managed use

ZodiacFM accounts are currently intended for adults age 18 or older.

Adults may play ZodiacFM music for members of their household, including children. ZodiacFM does not currently offer child accounts or parent-managed child profiles. Do not create an account in a child’s name or provide a child’s personal information through an ordinary ZodiacFM account.

If you have already created an account using a child’s information, contact [email protected] so we can review the account and help determine the appropriate next step.

We plan to introduce parent-managed profiles in the future. Before offering that feature, we will provide parents and legal guardians with information about the child data involved and the controls available to them.

11. International use

ZodiacFM is based in the United States, and your information is processed there. Our hosting, database, analytics, email, payment and error-reporting providers all run in the United States for ZodiacFM; we do not operate in another region.

If you use ZodiacFM from outside the United States, using it means your information is transferred there. United States data-protection law differs from the law where you live, and may give you fewer rights over that information.

12. Third-party sites and services

ZodiacFM may link to websites or services that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ZodiacFM, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy at this URL and change the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required.
